The early years

Ever since he can remember Dr. Gerkin developed a keen interest and a knack for taking things apart and putting them back together,  with a curiosity for understanding how various things work. It is a skill that was passed on to him by his Father who was a captain with the US Airforce and then a pilot for American Airlines. 

When in Highschool and in recognizing this skill, his family dentist suggested to look into the dental profession as a possible career path.  Dr. Gerkin graduated from the University of Utah earning  a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree. Then moved to Dallas, Texas where his family was stationed and earned his doctorate of dental surgery degree from Texas A&M School of Dentistry (Formerly Baylor College of Dentistry). It was there that he met his wife Dr. Mary Carmen Esteso.  Both enjoy a deep connection to the area and recently decided to merge their separate practices into one.

 Dr. Gerkin graduated in 1995 and Dr. Esteso graduated in 1994, they both developed the mission to provide the best dental care in a relaxed yet professional environment as a result they prides themselves on establishing long-term relationships with their patients and feel so fortunate to have been able to care for generations of several families. Their dedication is recognized by loyal patients and staff that have remained involved with the practice for all these years.
